Yes. I am from St. Louis. I grew up in University City.
Which High School did you attend, (if you attended high school in MO)? (If not from Saint Louis, you can opt out of this question)
I attended University City High School. I graduated in 1991.
Which area is the best? Why? (County (North, South, West), City, St. Charles, Chesterfield, East Saint Louis, etc...)
To this day I still love U.City! I often drive through the Loop for eating, shopping, or relaxing. U. City is such a melting pot and growing up there really gave me a diverse background which I feel has a lot to do with the personal and professional experiences I have encountered. I also love St. Charles. Even though it is right outside the city limits it allows me the opportunity to get away. It's peaceful and feels like a small community. The shopping is great too! LOL!!!
Tell me something about yourself that you would like to share.
There is so much that I could share but I will say that the last year and a half has been quite an adventure for me. About a year and a half ago I found myself in a time of transition. My plate was full of responsibilities but I was not happy. I was not fulfilled. Through a series of hard decisions I have finally gotten to a place where I have put myself first on my own priority list. For so long I thought that was being "selfish" but I came to realize that for me it was a necessity. There a difference between selfishness and self care.
What is/are the name(s) of your business(es) and describe it/them (please provide a website and email address if possible).
1) I currently have a brand new tv show on Dynasty Television called "Be You-ti-ful" w/LadySyl. The show allows me the opportunity to have conversations (I don't like to use the word interview...lol) with influential people from all walks of like......educators, politicians, CEO's, spiritual thinkers, etc..........about what they do to stay true who they are and true to what they have been called to do. A few shows will highlight my journey of health, wellness, and wholeness. We tape from some of the most beautiful venues St. Louis has to offer. 2) I also have "On The Go" w/ LadySyl.: This allows me to be on location with individuals who have products or an event they would like to promote. So far I have been on location at concerts to the grand opening of a health and wellness bar. I really enjoy being able to connect with people in their atmosphere.
3) Finally, my team and I ( I LOVE MY TEAM!!!!!!) are currently working on the "2017 Be You-ti-ful" Tour! In January I will start a nationwide tour that will allow me to not only promote the show on Dynasty Television but I am so trilled to be able to share my story of transition, walking through the journey, and discovering what is next for me and you. I never considered myself to be a motivational speaker until I had the passion to walk audiences through my story. We are looking at covering every venue from churches, college campuses, conventions, to small intimate support groups.
Why did you start it/them?
I can't really say "I started" any of this. If you would have told me 2 years ago that I would be doing what I am doing now, I would have said "absolutely not!" To be honest all I did was get to a place where I wanted to be fulfilled. I wanted peace in my life. When I made that decision......everything changed................and I do mean "EVERYTHING" in my life changed and the doors just began to open.
