Brendolyn Royal - Liquid Frosting Nail Color

Are you from Saint Louis? if not, where (and why did you come to Saint Louis)?

I am a true Saint Louisian, born and raised in University City. Although my family originates from Kinloch, my mother married a UCitian and hence here I am. However, I currently reside in the city of Saint Louis.

Which High School did you attend, (if you attended high school in MO)? (If not from Saint Louis, you can opt out of this question)

The age old question that defines us all “what high school did you attend?” I started out at Normandy and after my sophomore year I transferred out and finished at McCluer. (Not Berkley McCluer South, Not McCluer Noth) just plain old McCluer.

Which area is the best? Why? (County (North, South, West), City, St. Charles, Chesterfield, East Saint Louis, etc...)

This question made me giggle just a tad. As a true UCitian at heart I am going to say University City is the best. U City is the hub of all things and a true melting pot of people, and it is right smack in the middle of the city. I also believe that U City breeds some of the dopest females. We have the ability to adapt to any situation, we can go from zero to hood real quick.

Tell me something about yourself that you would like to share.

Growing up I spent a lot of time with my grandmother. My Granny was a real beauty, her make-up was always flawless and her nails were perfect. In all the years of watching her and learning her I noticed she only wore shades of red nail polish. As I got older and was allowed to choose my own polish colors I too began to wear some shade of red polish. I have carried on that tradition even after her passing in 2015 and created a line of exclusive red polishes just in her honor.

What is/are the name(s) of your business(es) and describe it/them (please provide a website and email address if possible). Why did you start it/them?

Liquid Frosting Nail Color- “Flawless sophistication at your fingertips” Liquid Frosting is St. Louis’s premiere nail polish line. What sets this brand apart is that it is independently and minority owned, my products are vegan and cruelty free. They contain no harsh chemicals that can be damaging to your natural nails. When my grandmother began her chemo treatment she was supposed to take off her nail polish but due to the lack of certain chemicals her wearing her polish was of no issue. The cosmetic industry is a billion dollar industry with so much potential for brands like mine to grow and rival larger more established brands. Its star quality polish on the everyday woman’s budget.
