Mia- Riverview Gardens (9th grade) Lutheran North High School (10th-12th grade)

Jessica- Valley Park High School


Which area is the best? Why? (County (North, South, West), City, St. Charles, Chesterfield, East Saint Louis, etc...)

Mia- I was born and raised in St. Louis, but I love north county! I was raised in north county. It is my home and is where I am most comfortable. I like the south side also. I feel it is very culturally diverse and there are many unique restaurants and small businesses that I love.

Jessica- I don't have one particular area that I like best. As a child I grew up on the north side of St. Louis, until the age of 10 and I loved it. After that, my family moved to Midtown until I graduated high school. Then I moved on the south side as a young adult for a couple of years before moving out of town to Virginia Beach. I say, that I find beauty in all areas of St. Louis. I believe that the experience of me living in different locations in St. Louis, helped mold me into the woman that I am today.


Tell me something about yourself that you would like to share.

Mia- I have 2 wonderful children, Kennedi age 1 & 1/2 and Cameron age 13. I am also married to my wonderful husband, Eric Turner. I love my family and they are my motivation to succeed. A fun fact about me is that I am a music enthusiast! I love all genres of music. Music feeds my soul and inspires me to do great things. I am a graduate of SIUE and received a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Print and Electronic Journalism. I was a writer for The Alestle Newspaper at SIUE and a news reporter for WSIE Radio FM 88.7 in college. In the future, I would like to write an inspirational book focusing on empowering women. I also hope to start a community outreach center in the neighborhood I grew up in. I believe in living life to the fullest with no regrets! My motto in life is God first, family and Jess MIA Collections!

Jessica- I am the 2nd oldest child. My mother & father had 4 children together, 3 girls and 1 boy. I am a fun loving woman who loves God. I am Loyal to my fiancee Phillip Blanks & our children who I adore very much. I love working with people and being able to inspire the people I come across everyday. My goal in the future is to start a scholarship fund for underprivileged children & to donate a percentage of the proceeds from our future sales to different foundations, such as, Breast Cancer Awareness foundations, Lupus, Abused & Battered Women & Children, etc. I truly believe in paying it forward, to make a difference in the world, one step at a time.

Jess MIA Collections was founded in 2014 and officially launched January of this year. It was just a thought and we decided to start building the business from scratch with the money we had. We started this business with the intent to make sophistication more popular amongst women. We were noticing many trends that were too revealing. Because of this, we wanted to provide an option of sleek styles to show that you can be sexy and fabulous without giving the wrong impression. We also cater to the average working woman by providing affordable quality styles. Now we have grown in over a few months and we are grateful for the expansion. We hope to open a storefront late next year! Stay tuned!
