Denyse Hill - Vera B's Southern Kitchen

Are you from Saint Louis? if not, where(and why did you come to Saint Louis)?

Yes ma'am, I am from St. Louis.

Which High School did you attend, (if you attended high school in MO)? (If not from Saint Louis, you can opt out of this question)

I attended Pattonville senior high

Which area is the best? Why? (County (North, South, West), City, St. Charles, Chesterfield, East Saint Louis, etc...)

North County is the best! Born and raised. I'm originally from Kinloch, but lived all over from Normandy to Ferguson finally landing in Florissant where I have been for over 15 years.

Tell me something about yourself that you would like to share.

Vera B Harris was my grandmother. She taught me to cook and was a social butterfly. I always admired her for the hospitality she offered even to complete strangers. My restaurant is named after her. She was my inspiration.

What is/are the name(s) of your business(es) and describe it/them (please provide a website and email address if possible). Why did you start it/them?

Vera B's Southern Kitchen is a southern comfort food restaurant with good old southern hospitality. Our website: veraskitchen.com

What three words would describe your business(es)? (If you own more than one business please give three words to describe each business).

Comfortable, Family, Grandma

The Power of networking - Jessica (on the left) contacted me via my website to ask to be a part of the ShowYouSTL project due to seeing the article done on her cousins who own Prince Charming.
