Corri Biesemeyer - Biesemeyer Visual Arts

Are you from Saint Louis? if not, where (and why did you come to Saint Louis)?

I do not live in the heart of the city, but the city is my heart. I was born at Saint Anthony's Medical Center and I lived in and stayed in Herculaneum, MO for the first 15 years of my life. I'd rarely been out of my little town (which is about 30 miles South of Downtown) as I got older I was able to go places like the South County Mall on occasion, that was the spot but I rarely had money or need to go to The Mall so I still didn't get to get out too often.

I continued my High School Education and most of my College age from this Location in Pevely, MO in our new home. it wasn't until I got into my College age years that I really got to get out and explore the city. I fell in love. I grew up watching so many stories of beautiful girls living in the big city and accomplishing their dreams and I wanted to be that girl. I now live in Crystal City, MO which is still a good 30 minutes from Downtown but my end goal is to get a small space in the City that I can restore to a former glory to use for living and I hope to open up a small studio space.

Which High School did you attend, (if you attended high school in MO)?

I attended Herculaneum High School (Home of the Black Cats) from 2004-2008 in the small town of Herculaneum, approximately 30 minutes South of Downtown STL.

Which area is the best? Why? (County (North, South, West), City, St. Charles, Chesterfield, East Saint Louis, etc...)

Well I'm not sure I would say there is a "best" area but I absolutely LOVE downtown, Lafayette Square, The Loop, The Grove and Forest Park area. I am a Photographer so

I just love the scenery of these areas. I'm sure there are great qualities about all of the other areas.

Tell me something about yourself that you would like to share.

My name is Corri, I am 27, I am first a daughter of God, second I am a daughter of Anita and Richard Biesemeyer, two of the most wise, giving and loving people in this universe, they would give the shirt off their back to anyone and these 3 are the very foundation of who I am and why I am. I am a hopeless romantic and daydream of the day I meet my husband, I am currently single and focus a lot of my time on becoming the best personal outwardly, personally and professionally. I strive to treat those around me with importance and with respect, I am an open book I try to be transparent in order to receive transparency from those around me.

I am passionate for good music, the art of street photography and portraiture. I love Forest Park in the summer and wish that I could live day after day there on a magical evening of music and wonder during a Production from Shakespeare in the Park. I live off of the energy from those around me, I am inspired by nature, smiles so big your face hurts, graffiti, architecture, laughter, tears and great hugs exchanged between kindred souls. I'm super passionate about helping people learn to be more passionate about life in general, how to let go of negativity and grow in your own path. As these are things I struggle with as well, I hope to live by example so I am always pushing even when life gets hard and messy, I keep pushing forward and pushing to find the upside of every situation.
